At the origin, an architect
Semilla was conceived by Pierre Bondoux. An entrepreneur since the age of 17, he first helped artists make a living from their art, then worked in Brittany alongside entrepreneurs and as a local elected official. He drew one conclusion: the current system cannot be changed from within. In 2021, after four months of comparative study, he chose Costa Rica as the ground on which to prove something different.
Three ventures came before Semilla, and each one left a lesson. A financial tool alone changes nothing: exchanges must rest on something concrete. A large centralized structure is fragile: what lasts is built as a network. Understanding a vision is not enough: it takes aligned people to bring it to life. When one of them failed, he personally committed to repaying every person who had followed him.
Semilla was born from these lessons: start from the individual seeking sovereignty, and give that person a system where savings, work and territory move forward together. A system designed not to depend on the one who drew it.

Today
- A company under Costa Rican law: Semilla Impact Token S.R.L.
- An asset, the SEM, issued by a public contract: anyone can read its ledger on the Avalanche blockchain.
- Organizations supported by Momentum, in health, mobility and housing.
- A private network of members, joined by invitation, and its platform.
- A guarantee: the personal commitment of Pierre Bondoux, its architect. The regulatory framework is still under construction.
